Like her fellow celebutante and best friend, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie has become famous for doing absolutely nothing of merit. As the daughter of famed pop singer Lionel, Richie has lived an opulent lifestyle exclusively because of someone else’s fame and money. Because of her virtually limitless access to the upper crest of society, Richie has lived life on her own terms. However, such a life—as pampered and secluded as it is—has not been without its dangers and consequences. On February 27, 2003, Richie was arrested in Malibu for felony possession of heroin and driving with a suspended license. Meanwhile, Richie was in Altus, Arkansas filming a reality TV show with pal Hilton called “The Simple Life” (Fox, 2003- ). Richie’s excursion into rural America caused her to miss her April 29th court date, but luckily a high-priced Hollywood lawyer persuaded the judge to skip remanding the wayward felon.
Born on September 21, 1981, Riche grew up best friends with Hilton. While the latter opted out of college upon graduating high school, Richie at least gave it a shot. She spent two years at the University of Arizona, but soon dropped out because she felt that she was “over it”. Since that time, Richie did little career-wise but made a reputation for herself partying with Hilton. Richie did attempt to make a name for herself, if only as second fiddle to the more outgoing and controversial Hilton. The Fox reality show was her first step, though she did nothing more than set-up Hilton’s comic relief. In one instance, she had to explain to a perplexed Hilton what Wal-Mart was; in another, she had to explain what a water well found in their bedroom was for.
In the meantime, Richie went into the recording studio to record her first album, though she has insisted the attempt wasn’t meant to capitalize on her growing fame from the television show. Able to play piano, violin and cello, Richie felt it was inevitable for her to lay down her talents in the studio, but has ruled out any collaboration with her famous father. Richie also auditioned for the part of Maureen in the popular Broadway hit, “Rent”, though she later confessed she had never seen the play. Richie did manage to rack up some TV acting roles, including guest stints on "Six Feet Under," "American Dreams," "8 Simple Rules..." and "Eve," but it was "The Simple Life" that kept her in the spotlight as the show retruned for a second and third season, featuring the wacky, wealthy gal pals on a cross country road trip and working as interns.
The diminutive heiress also became a well-reported-on celebrity, slimming down dramatically in a short time span (which led to much media speculation about how healthy her weight loss actually was), along with classing up her fashion sense. But in 2005 Richie and Hilton's lifelong relationship hit a serious road bump when Hilton announced that she'd had a falling out with her friend. the inciting reason was never fully disclosed and that she hoped to film the fourth season of "The Simple Life" without Richie, replacing her with another "celebutante," Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberly. However, after several months of speculation, Fox announced that both heiresses would return for a new season together...and then later indicated that there was "no room" on its 2005-2006 schedule for "The Simple Life," and released the series to be shopped to other networks. E! Entertainment picked up the fourth season, set to debut in spring 2006, featuring the celebutantes taking turns running a household. The skinny star has posted a comment on her MySpace page denying the rumors, which surfaced earlier this week.
Richie fumes, "Contrary to CNN's false accusations, I did not check myself into an eating disorder rehab. I do not have an eating disorder. Whoever has started this rumor is evil and mean but it's not true.
"I am happy and healthy and living my life."
Her publicist Nicole Perna added, "Nicole has decided to undergo diagnostic treatment to determine why she's not been putting on weight. This is not treatment for an eating disorder."

The sitcom was about a high-flying and uberly ditzy blonde popstar named Jessica Sampson who became news correspondent of a local TV station. In July 2006 the pilot was again looked at for The CW,CBS and also again for ABC. It is being considered to be picked up. The CW and ABC however have expressed the most interest. The show has also been considered under the new name Jessica.

'Harry Potter' author JK Rowling earned a whopping £77 every minute of last year.
The writer, who is currently penning the seventh and final book of the hugely popular series, raked in £41 million in 2005, over £100,000 a day.
The huge sum has been revealed by Forbes magazine in its list of the world's top earning celebrities.
Despite her incredible income, Rowling was only placed ninth on the list.
Hollywood director Steve Spielberg topped the who's who of star money-makers with earnings of £180 million for the year, £342 per minute.
US DJ Howard Stern - famed for his outrageous on-air behaviour - came second pocketing £163 million for the year, £311 a minute, while 'Star Wars' creator George Lucas came third with earnings of £127 million in 2005, £242 per minute.
Oprah Winfrey, who raked in £122 million, which calculates as £240 per minute, and comic actor Jerry Seinfeld, who earned £54 million, £103 a minute, rounded out the top five.

The Las Vegas branch of the world famous museums have unveiled a likeness of the X-rated actress, the star of such films as 'I Love Lesbians' and Jenna's Built For Speed'.
The partially naked model depicts Jenna kneeling on a bearskin rug, and is so accurate it even features her tattoos, including the famous 'Heart Breaker' etching on her right buttock.
Visitors to the attraction will receive a sexy message from 'Jenna' if they tickle her tattoos.
When she was presented with her model, the busty blonde was delighted, saying: "It looks so real!"

Beyonce Is Looking for Women...
NEW YORK — How far would you go to be part of Beyoncé's posse? Travel across the world? Battle with others trying to fill the same spot? Show your true star quality no matter what?
That's what hundreds of females had toprove over the past several days as they vied to be in Beyoncé's new all-female band, which will back her up when she hits the road. The audition finals were held at Sony Studios Saturday, where Beyoncé and her father, Mathew Knowles, were among the judges picking the crème de la crème.
"I wanted to get together a group of fierce, talented, hungry, beautiful women and form an all-girl band," she said after the band was picked. She already has a name chosen but doesn't want to reveal it yet.
"I'm all about female empowerment," she continued. "I'm all about pushing the envelope. I know it's my responsibility to do something different. I said, 'I want a band, I want something different.' I had worldwide auditions; people flew in from Atlanta, Houston, Israel, all over the world.
"It was extremely difficult," she added about choosing the winners. "[There are] so many talented women. I wanted only a nine-piece band, but the girls were so amazing, I couldn't decide. I think I'm going to wind up having 12 people so I have two [people playing] certain instruments, because [some of the contenders] were just brilliant. It's a thing called star quality, it's a thing you can't put your finger on, can't describe.
When they were playing, I said, 'I want to see y'all battle.' I brought in two of every instrument and that's how I chose. You see the one that really wants it. It was so entertaining, the energy, seeing the girls battle ... God, it was the best. It was magical."
The audition process took B back to when she was 9 years old and just starting out in Destiny's Child, when the group would compete in talent shows. Beyoncé says she's also looking forward to jamming with her ladies on the road and learning from them as she hopes they will learn from her.
The band will back up Beyoncé on her upcoming tour, for which no dates have yet been announced. Without a doubt, the band will have to get used to playing Beyoncé's new Rodney Jerkins-produced single, "Deja Vu," which features Jay-Z. It's destined to be a big summer hit.
"When I recorded 'Deja Vu' ... I knew that even before I started working on my album, I wanted to add live instruments to all of my songs," she explained.
"It's such a balance [of music on the song], it has live congas, live horns, live bass. It's still young, still new and fresh, but it has the old soul groove. The energy is incredible. It's the summer anthem, I pray. I feel it. It's already broken records. Rodney Jerkins is incredible, Jay of course is on it, he blessed the song, I'm happy with it."

Aguilera is current talks to sing the lead song on Outkast's new film project, Idlewild. The song which would also appear on Christina's Double LP, has been described as sassy, modern, and bold. DJ premiere who also co-produced Ain't No Other Man lended his production skills once again. Aguilera, with no prior film roles, will lend her music and herself as she will cameo in the film. Early buzz on the film is expected to be a critical acclaim, the song is being considered for a Golden Globe and Academy Award contender.
At MTV Movie Awards, where Aguilera performed her new single, the singer revealed that Back to Basics would in fact include two distinct discs.
"The first half of the album is kind of a throwback with elements of jazz, blues and soul music combined with a modern-day twist, like hard-hitting beats," the singer explained.
And for the second disc, "We creatively went into our own zone and our own world together," Aguilera said of her work with Perry. "There are no cover songs, so we made more of a '20s, '30s vibe with an authentic and organic twist. There are no samples — it's all live music. One of the songs sounds like you entered a 1920s burlesque club, another song sounds like it was actually recorded in the 1920s, using a vintage microphone, so it's exciting stuff."
The double-album is due August 15, nearly four years after Aguilera's last LP, Stripped.
"I definitely take my time, so I do come with a lot more to say about what's going on in my life so it's meaningful to me and to my fans," Aguilera explained of the gap. "I always try to come back with something new and try to evolve as an artist and as a visionary. I can't wait to see the reaction."
Seeing that reaction is exactly the reason Aguilera wanted to debut her new single, "Ain't No Other Man," at the MTV Movie Awards (see "MTV Movie Awards: Will Ferrell Freaks Out; Jessica Simpson Dusts Off Daisy Dukes"). "The last time I performed at a Movie Awards show was for 'Lady Marmalade,' and that was so much fun," she said.

No More Blonde Teen Idol ! Britney Spears New Look is Old, Black & Fat ! BRITNEY Spears' hubby Kevin Federline might be getting a few more black looks now since the pop mum has painted over her blonde locks.
The 24-year-old Toxic singer was spotted out and about with her security team in New York with baby son Sean Preston sporting a new black hairdo, according to TMZ.com.
The site reported Britney and Kevin had been touring the Big Apple for the last few days so that Kevin could attend his own publicity commitments.
National Ledger website reported there were "apparently no near baby dropping incidents".
The site added pregnant Britney's last trip to New York was the well-documented near drop of Sean.
It has been a spectacular fall from grace for the pop superstar who, six years ago, ruled the music scene.
Claims that Britney Spears was planning to have her next baby in Namibia proved to be a hoax. The rumours suggested Britney was planning to copy Angelina Jolie and give birth in the southern African country.
It all started after someone claiming to represent Britney Spears called Namibia's Deputy Environment and Tourism Minister, Leon Jooste.
He explained: "She has shown interest to come over to Namibia.
"Nothing has been confirmed yet, but there is a definite possibility of that happening."
Jooste added: "Britney wants to come in very low profile and have some privacy. She might change her mind if we reveal too much now."
However, a spokesperson for the mum-of-one said: "There is no truth in this."
Britney already has one child, 9-month-old Sean, with 28-year-old husband Kevin Federline.
The couple is expecting their second baby in September.
Last week, the singer revealed that her marriage is "awesome" - but admitted she is an "emotional wreck".
She opened her heart about her allegedly failing marriage in an interview on US TV.
The star admitted she finds the constant rumours about the demise of her marriage "sad" because she "thinks everyone should be pro-love".
Meanwhile, Federline has reportedly told his wife to sack her new bodyguard - because he fears the pair are getting too close.
Kevin has told his spouse he doesn't want her to employ Perry Taylor, a 28-year-old US Naval Academy graduate, anymore because he is worried he will come between them.
The aspiring rapper is said to have been unhappy after seeing photographs of Perry carrying his 9-month-old son and pushing him along in a stroller while out shopping.
A source said: "Kevin didn't like seeing Perry holding his son while out with Britney. He instructed her to drop him before their reunion to get their marriage back on track.
"Kevin was uncomfortable with Perry being so close to Britney and his son. He felt she was trying to taunt him."
Perry has now reportedly been told by Britney he will now only be employed on an hourly basis when he is needed.
Most recently, Britney revealed her son likes her to perform sexy dance routines for him.
The singer, famed for her raunchy dance moves in her videos, says Sean goes ga-ga when she struts her stuff in front of him.

Alba suffered anorexia and a kidney infection in 2001. She also now suffers from motion sickness, which developed after childhood.
Jessica Alba was engaged to her Dark Angel co-star Michael Weatherly, but it was called off. In January 2005, she began dating Cash Warren, a director's assistant on Fantastic Four, whom she met when filming that movie.
Regarding children, Alba has stated:
